The acquisition of power is the ultimate aim of all politicians. Politicians across the globe will do everything in their means to acquire power and thus it is absolutely necessary for states to initiate rules and statutes that will govern the activities and practices of politicians or else the state might suffer from divisions and instability. As academics, we need to come up with solutions and ways in which the state can regulate the political activities of aspiring Members of Parliament, Presidents or even Local Authority Officials and in doing thus, we might have helped in promoting good governance in our states.

The war against Terror can not be won by one state only. The American government is fighting a war stated by George Bush, Former president of America. For the American Government win this war, it needs to involve the International community. Organisations such as the Arab Union should be involved since terrorism activities are usually carried out by extreme muslim organisations such as the Al-Shabaab and Alqaeda. For instance, for a longer period, Alqaeda had its bases in Afghanistant which is an Asian Country. In East Africa,a terror group known as Al Shabaab has emerged and currently, the Kenyan Government in conjuction with the Somali Government are conducting an operation to wipe out the group. In my opinion, the South-North Korea conflict will not end soon because of the intrests of the super powers. Chinas intrest in North Korea is precipitated by the fact that American government recognises Taiwan, which China considers as its break away province. To curtail American influence in the region, China decides to support the North Korean regime, an enemy of South Korea which is a key ally of United States of America. To restore peace in Korean peninsula therefore, China and the United States of America oght to come down and negotiate on their intrests in the region and thus come up ith an amicable solution to peace restoration in the Korean Peninsula.

The reason as to why most third world states are not developing is due to the level of corrupt activities occuring in the administration of resources in such states. For instance, Congo has numerous resources such as gold, diamond and the congo forest. Howerver, Congo is still viewed by economic experts as one of the poorest country in the continent. Why? Despite their numerous resources. Reasons advanced by economic experts are, - The civil war that characterizes much of post independece Congo. - High level of corruption during the reign of Mobutu Sese Seko. - In adequate man power to steer the Congolese economy.
