Nursing shortage
Nursing shortage occurs when there are a few nurses and the market demand is high. This is evident where few people register to pursue the nursing course. Most institutions of nursing have problems in admitting all qualified persons for the course due to issues such as budget and space. In addition, there is a shortage of nursing educators hence the number that graduates per year is too small to meet the market demand. Poor working conditions and delayed licensing of nurses in most countries discourages people to pursue nursing leading to shortage.
