Salvation is a word that many people, particularly those not Christians, wonder about its importance in one’s life. Well, this paper aims to explain what salvation is and its importance to Christians. The bible notes that human beings are born as sinful beings as is evident in Psalms 51:8 -“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me” (NIV). When we are sinful we drag ourselves away from God. The consequence of being away from God is suffering in sin and being a servant of sin as put in John 8:34.
