Globalization is regarded by many as the future of the world economy. Free trade and mobility of real financial capital, information and technology characterize globalization. Therefore, development has been widely perceived to occur at accelerated paces bearing in mind that globalization is given an even better definition with the existence of free markets which means fewer restrictions on product imports and exports including manpower. However, it is apparent that the advent of globalization in many countries has been taking a pattern that seems to neglect the fact that women too have an active role to play in the facilitation of globalization. Implications are bound to occur due to the omission of women in key decision making forums that have impact of national magnitude.
